Would concur there. Just been doing a heavy osmeditor2 session on the New 
Forest, cleaning up some 12-18 month old poor quality data and despite me 
hammering the server with DELETE requests, it's been performing great. Map 
requests also very fast - tiles of OSM data retrieved almost instantly.
