I used planet2mysql.rb without too many problems.  All of the ruby
librareies that it uses are needed if you are running a test server
anyway.  Though I did have to hack this to make it shut up and work:

 #require 'mysql'
 require '/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i486-linux/mysql.so'
