[OSM-dev] Slippy maps requesting ALL layers...

Hi all.

Is there any way to stop the slippy maps (both informationfreeway and 
www.osm.org) from requesting tiles from ALL layers on startup?

I have links to fairly smallish areas, and they request 320 (6 layers 
of 54) and 80 (2 layers with 40) tiles each:

I'm using IE7 on XP so not an unusual browser... :)
