It's a good idea - a separate converter isn't. A separate converter
would just waste the benefit of a more compact representation. If
anything, we should write a separate converter that goes the other way,
so that rails doesn't have to use as much memory to generate the file.

Richard Fairhurst is planning to implement it, and add Flash's own
native format as well, unifying the normal and potlatch apis.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with created_by.
