I agree. I've always known that the 'view' link provides a permalink,
but it's not very intuitive. So I think adding a 'permalink' on top of
the map would be a good way to do it.

I've been experimenting a little tonight with trying to add the
standard OpenLayers permalink to the map, but it's not using the right
units for lat and long. What was changed on InformationFreeway to make
this work?
