[OSM-dev] My own Tiling of maps

Hi,

I have a set of old maps that I would like to use with my Nokia 770 and maemo mapper (as well as display on the web).

I have loked at Mapnik on the wiki and it seems that it would work. However, I am wondering about how to add the maps to the system. Is it a case of just using postgis to get some sort of georectified images into postrgres and then run mapnik over this data to generate the tiles.
