[OSM-dev] maknik not installed

Hi

I have gone through the tutorial on http://www.passback.org.uk/maps/fedora.shtml and am having problems as posted earlier. I just tried the Manik tutorial in python 
from mapnik import *

And that fails. That would explain wjhy i am getting no tiles. Wouldn't it.

Should I do an install?
