hi,

apologies if running over old ground (am new to this). seems the API could do with:

(1) conditional (predicated) updates: e.g. 'move this node from x1, y1 to x2, y2' i.e. don't commit the update if someone has altered data you're relying on

(2) transactional updates: a whole series of updates that if any fails, gets rolled back (would allow editor app to refresh, repair and re-submit). presumably could be implemented relatively easy based on db transaction

(3) incremental update id: globally incrementing update id: would resolve ordering issues the timestamp doesn't seem to resolve

does this make any sense?

cheers, dan.
