[OSM-dev] applet fixes in svn - testing volunteers needed!

hi,

some fixes for applet have just been commited to svn - could really do with some more testing though, esp. on various systems (i've tried java 1.5 jre on windows, ie6 and firefox2 only).

am especially paranoid since some thread sync stuff was added so want to make sure no deadlocks etc. i'd be happy to email-help anyone who would like assistance building it...

if you need motivation, this version should be able to browse uk yahoo maps much more smoothly / easily - zoom ([ and ]) selects appropriate resolution tiles (used to always download highest res) - much easier to assess where yahoo images are decent or not.
