Hi,

Many things about Essen weren't as productive as they could have been.
But the barbecue was ok.

Sure, and you weren't the only ones. Nothing to say against that, but
your thinking seemed to be: "better hardware -> higher dump frequency",
while I was - very un-practical and as a matter of principle - saying
that we should not aim at providing higher-frequency dumps but at
providing live data.

I was talking about aims, you were talking about possibilities.

It seems to be a similar thing we see with the fundraising question
today. I would like to have something to aim at ("we want such and such
a budget to finance the following hardware / events / whatever, now
let's go find sponsors") while your method seems to be "let's raise all
the money we can and then use it for something good". Which is surely
more practical, because high-flying plans aren't any good if you cannot
finance them.

But hey - I am impractical. Or, euphemistically, I am a visionary. If I
weren't, then I would be managing a large company instead of spending my
time with something that sounds cool.

Bye
Frederik
