[OSM-dev] I've committed a whole new set of mappaint icons - how do I compile the jar file?!?

Hi!

I've recently committed a whole lot of missing icons for mappaint to
svn. As I said before, icons for mappaint won't be scaled and anything
larger than 16*16 pixel will just get in the way of mapping things -
using the icons as currently existing is not an option here :-( So for
the new icons I've tried to find a trade off between readability and the
already existing icon sets. Some of the existing icons didn't scale well
to this tiny size, I've tried to find some alternatives for it, which
should be "readable". Please try out the new icons, by following the
guidelines in
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/JOSM/Plugins/MapPaint to setup a
new mappaint style - and PLEASE give feedback.

I would like to build a new mappaint.jar file (to include it into svn
and also for some other experiments), but unfortunately my JAVA
knowledge is a bit rusted (it's almost 10 years ago), and especially the
build environment has completely changed since then.

The only information I could find (at
http://josm.eigenheimstrasse.de/wiki/DevelopingPlugins) is describing a
bit of the internas, but not how to set up a plugin build environment.

So what do I need? I guess: JAVA SDK and probably Eclipse? What do I
have to start with?

Is there some step-by-step guide somewhere, so I can easily get my dev
system up and running?

Regards, ULFL
