Yes, it behaved differently in XP than Linux, maybe because of the different
plugin loading order in these OS.

OK, fixed now. I was using JOSM core method that should have been deprecated
since changeset 267 (http://josm.openstreetmap.de/changeset/267).

Download again the plugin, since now it may be using a wrong preferences
dir.
