Ah, good point. I hadn't thought about the address data. Do we even
have a way to store address range data in OSM? It seems to me that it
belongs at the segment level unless every block along the street is to
be its own way (which would be very evil) -- the only solution I can see
is to add superways.
If the tiger IDs are retained, I should think it would be relatively
easy to add the addressing data after the fact, would it not? (Of
course, the tiger IDs would also have to be copied to the existing ways
that are in the db for any given road or part of a road)...
If there are plans and a schema to get the addressing data into the
initial TIGER import, does it make sense to upload anything that doesn't
have any addressing data? (railways in particular spring to mind... I
guess anything in TIGER classes other than A [for those not in the know,
A = automotive roads, B=rail, C = some other set of things that I can't
remember at the moment] and even some of A (motorways in particular)
