Read my email about nodes/strings/polys. Basically, we follow a data model a
little bit similar to the OGC simple features specification: we declare a
closed string[1] for every hull the area has. An area will have an outer hull
(the first), and any number of inner hulls.
The node/string/poly model also allows us to implement the mythic "SuperWays".
Branched ways too.
[1] Call it "path", call it "ordered list of nodes", but my little Gallic
(better said, Iberic) village will keep on calling them "strings".
