[OSM-dev] Trackpoints

Downloading trackpoints with the 0.4 API is currently only returning
those points which come from public traces and those which come from a
trace belonging to the user doing the download.

Looking at the code it seems that the 0.3 API has no such restriction.

The question is which is correct? There is no identifying information
with any trackpoints provided this way so maybe 0.3 was correct?
