[OSM-dev] [Tilesathome] newbie q a bit off topic: streets with different directions but same name

I can't answer that, but I did notice the same issue when playing with a
cycle render using t at h / osmararender.
In that instance I wanted to mark the route names / numbers on ways, but
because a route often follows many ways I ended up with far too many route
names or numbers displayed. It appears that mapnik has a facility for
limiting the number of markers, but I couldn't work out how to do it in
xlst.
This is more of an osmarender question than t at h, so I'll cc this to the dev
list as well in case anyone can help.
While I'm on the subject I also wanted to draw route markers in a pretty,
horizontally aligned box, rather than simple text following the route, but
never managed that either. I've currently let this idea slip a bit, but
still definately interested if these things are possible.
cheers, mike
