Apple release a developer preview for Tiger. However it won't install
on Leopard.
Apple has refused to comment. From what I've heard they are changing
from many years ago saying how great Java is, to downplaying Java now.
I think they want everyone using Cocoa.

I currently don't need to use Osmosis, though I do know there are
quite a few mac users in the OSM community (or have they all installed
Debian or Ubuntu or similar to replace OS X?).
If noise hasn't been made yet, I'll presume that the mac users either
don't need Osmosis, or they are using an alternative platform instead
of Leopard.
