Well, it still might be generally useful. If Osmosis could be adapted
to consume and produce pipes, then it could be used in command-line
pipelines with other tools.

By the way, Brett, I'm still working on the Osmosis improvements I
mentioned a while ago (bounding boxes spanning the antimeridian;
handling the Bounds element), but I'm dealing with a slow-motion
layoff at work so I got stalled for a bit. I see you're on vacation
(or "holiday" for commonwealth dwellers) for a while anyway, so
hopefully I'll be done by the time you return.
