David,
Following on from this, I noticed that the namefinder.sql has a
segements table, but no ways table. The import script is breaking at
the:
zap('way');
function, so it looks like I need an updated namefinder.sql file to
run the import.

I'm trying to work out how the namefinder works with a view to porting
it Rails and integrating it more tightly with OSM. If we are running
at 5 days for an import, I'd say that we need to have incremental
updates ASAP.
