Because Garmin users are brain washed. Go to a Garmin forum, tell them the 
devices have a mediocre firmware and give them a list with the deficiencies. 
They will find reasons and "fixes" even for the dumpest bug in these devices. 
And they won't stop to cheerleader for Garmin until the day they drop dead. 
They will wellcome every market price drop by 50% as "thank you Garmin", not 
realizing that their units resale price dropped, too. It's hopeless.
