[OSM-dev] Can't import data using Osmosis

Thanks for the info, guys. The escaped spaces were generated by the Mac's filename-completion logic at the command line, so they most likely were correct. I don't know what the problem was, but I tried it on my other system without spaces and the only syntax problem was that it didn't like the empty password quotes. If the DB user has no password, it appears that you just have to leave the password parameter out.

Now I have another problem on import:

com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'osm.schema_info' doesn't exist

All I did was a "create database" and created one called OSM. I didn't run any commands to generate the table layouts; I though Osmosis might do that. I didn't notice instructions otherwise on the Osmosis page.

Do I need to generate the table layouts before trying to import with OSM?

Regards,
Gavin
