The biggest part of the changes to the API are to the database  
structure. How are you updating your data? Using Osmosis? Do you have  
local changes?

The easiest way to update will be to dump and reload with a new planet  
dump (assuming you have no local changes). There will be some script  
to do the production database (not the standard rails migrations),  
which I'm sure will be made public around the time of the upgrade.
