Excellent! Did you also update renderd.py to keep it in synch with renderd?

I'm interested in more exotic tile compositing, and having a more 
flexible ini setup means the first requirement is filled. :)

FYI: We're already doing that on the NL tileserver. We run only renderd, 
which we talk to from a python script running in Cherokee.
