[OSM-dev] Location of CCTV camera

I can't find any indication that CCTV cameras can be located on Open Street Map. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how it is done?

If it isn't yet possible then may I suggest this as a new feature on OSM. It would fit in nicely with this old suggestion http://mysociety.blogs.com/mysociety/2003/10/cctv_map.html which I don't think ever got anywhere.

Attributes for a CCTV camera could include:
Owner
Owner's contact details (for Data Protection Act / FOI requests)
Direction of filming (e.g. "over shop front", or "eastwards up High Street")
