It's a simple cost verse benefit analysis, is the data going to be
more beneficial than the effort needed to make it useful. If it causes
a lot of duplication or extra work for minimal benefit then that kind
of defeats the purpose of importing. Selective importing, or at least
some kind of scripts that compare existing data with new data can help
improve the noise to signal ratio considerably.
