Hello Tim,
This is my routing test file:
http://trac.openstreetmap.org/browser/applications/rendering/gosmore/routingTest.osm
It consists of 3 parts (foot, bicycle and motorcar).
The best route from West to East will route along the outside. The
northern part of the motorcar part tests advanced features, such has
trying to avoid busy intersections and sharp turns.
