I have tried this. The default config of 0.7.2. lists (config.py)

for input: postgis,raster,shape

while mapnik2 and mapnik 0.7.1 list more:
gdal,ogr,postgis,raster,shape,sqlite

is there a reason why gdal, ogr and sqlite support is not compiled by
default (are they working nonetheless or is there a problem with
them?)
