[OSM-dev] issues with OfflineOSM

Greetings,

I try to install a local OSM server for parts of germany.
Following the wiki page [1], I end up with some issues.

1) RuntimeError: Failed to find font face 'unifont Medium' in FontSet
'book-fonts' in map 'osm.xml'

As this is activated by default[2], where to get this one? I get around
the error by removing unifont lines from inc/fontset-settings.xml.inc
which is no real solution.

2) File "./generate_tiles.py", line 64, in __init__
    mapnik.load_map(self.m, mapfile, True)
fe_sendauth: no password supplied (encountered during parsing of layer
'landcover' in map 'osm.xml')

How to deliver a password for a local pg-database?

3) inc/fontset-settings.xml.inc tells to use 

  ls `python -c "import mapnik;print mapnik.fontscollectionpath"`

to see installed fonts. This fails with "module not found" as mapnik2
replaced mapnik.
