I wanted to import the whole North America data in the server. So, what would be the machine size that I would require to set that up and how long will it take to import all the data?

For North America I would recommend a machine with at least 16GB of RAM
and 250GB storage (+ 150GB more if you intend to import the Tiger data).
This should allow you to finish the import in average time (a few days,
depending on the CPU power). If you want to speed that up even more, go
for 32GB of RAM and SSD storage. The Nominatim import is very heavy on
IO and particularly the latter makes a huge difference.

Kind regards
