[OSM-dev] Hourly or daily diff files containing all referenced data

Hi all,

We are building a global database of some places of interest.

The initial step has been: Parsing the latest planet file as a stream
of entities provided by Osmosis (a custom plugin used),
then
storing objects into local DB. No OSM Entities are kept permanently so far.

Now, again using Osmosis and combined diffs we need to keep the
database in sync. The problem here is that those combined
diff files (in .osc.gz format) may not contain all Nodes referenced by
created or modified Ways. Building geometries for them
is impossible in many cases.

Is it actually possible to access any diff files (Preferably using
Osmosis, but not limited to), that contain data for all referenced
Nodes without maintaining some form of planet file clone containing
huge volume of data?

Kind Regards,

Radim
