[OSM-dev] Participation in GSoC

Hello Vaibhav,

we intend to participate again this year. At the moment, we're working
on submitting OpenStreetMap's organization application to Google. Google
will then decide if OSM gets to be a mentoring organization for the 2020
Summer of Code.

We usually provide a list of project ideas for students, but we've only
just begun working on this year's edition. So you're still quite early.
If you want to, you can already get started with some preparations,
though! A good first step may be to talk to the developers of the
particular open source project (e.g. Merkaartor) you're interested in to
find out if one of them would be willing to be your mentor.
