Hi Christine,

It's good to hear that you're interested in helping us with the UI and
code. The main OpenStreetMap website (and API) codebase is at:

https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website

The issue tracker there is much more active than this mailing list,
but if you have any questions about getting started then either place
will work. Note that a lot of what you see on the OpenStreetMap
homepage (particularly the maps) are developed in separate
repositories. The above repo also has documentation on installing,
testing, and how to contribute to the codebase.

Let me know if there's any part in particular that you are interested
in working on, and I'll do my best to point you in the right
direction!
