[OSM-dev] Regarding GSoC 2022 @ OpenStreetMap on Support Vespucci preset extensions in JOSM

Hi Yash,
thanks for your interest in GSoC with OpenStreetMap. You are a bit
quciker than our orga team. We haven't quite finished collecting project ideas
yet. The project you refer to comes from last year's proposals and it's
not yet clear if this is still on the list. Simon will know more.
On a general note, I'd like to point out that we will give strong
preference this year to candidates that are already familiar with
OpenStreetMap either as mappers or as data users. If you haven't worked
with OSM yet, I strongly recommend that you use the next two weeks while
we finalize the project ideas to do some mapping. Install Vespucchi and
go out and complete the map in your neighbourhood. Find the
communication channels for your local OSM community and start getting
involved there. All this will give you a good head start.
