[OSM-dev] Interested in Using Openstreetmaps for an Environmental Science Research work

Hello Team Openstreetmaps and It is a pleasure to be here.

I am working on an Environmental Science Project and currently blocked as I
am trying to determine the biome, sub-biomes etc of a given location. I
believe biomes and more specifically sub-biomes have a similar soil
composition, climatic conditions, vegetation etc.

I want to be able to use coordinates to get the biome or related
information which can help me determine similar areas on the map. Examples
of biomes and sub-biomes include; Tundra, tropical rainforest, grass
savanna, tree savanna, deserts etc

Any advice on how to use openstreetmaps to attain this objective will be
greatly appreciated
