Unless you have do, don't use a MySQL server for this. Simply take your India extract, apply the diff and immediately afterwards cut out the polygon:<br>
<br>
osmosis --rxc daily.diff --rx india.osm --ac --bp file=india.poly --wx india-new.osm<br>
<br>
If you don't have a polygon then you can use the --bb task instead, specifying a bounding box.<br>
