Hi all,
I've had increasing interest from Wikipedia about the diversity task force
and am currently planing a conversation this week with Siko
Bouterse<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Sbouterse_(WMF)>.
Siki works in grant making at the Wikimedia Foundation and organizes some
of the gender gap strategy work, include the Wikipedia Teahouse and the
Wikiwomen's collaborative. I'd like to know if anyone is interested in
joining the conversation tentatively planned for Wednesday, July 24th 5pm
ET/2pm PT.
I've also been in regular contact with Sarah
Stierch<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Stierch> co-developer
of the Teahouse and organizer of a number of diversity focused editathons
and hope to speak with her soon as well.
I'll send another email, but I think a planning meeting for the group might
be worthwhile. We have a couple of items on the table -- women's health
editathon, website, demographics survey -- that could use some small
momentum to complete.
Thanks,
Alyssa.
