[diversity-talk] [Talk-us] Chapter Board Elections

Just for clarification: as always we will have board elections to the
OSMF board at the AGM in September. The announcement of the AGM and call
for nominees is planned for the near future. Clearly it would benefit
the whole organisation if we had a more diverse board and it would be
nice if we had a wide range of nominees.

As to having no budget, yes, for reasons lost in the early history of
the OSMF, the foundation traditionally has not had a budget- Given that
the OSMF has very very low fixed costs this has not been a dramatic
issue, just a slight irritation and in particular it is not the fault of
the treasurer. The current board has planned to rectify the situation
starting with the next year, in line with the substantial growth and the
increased visibility of the whole project.
