Hi Rory and all, thanks for the questions.
I would like to see this list keep:
-being openly readable from outside users;
-being open to admitance for any subscribers (if they haven't a bad historic in this list);
-subjecting outside emails to moderation;
-not tolerating fallacies against tolerance, like "be tolerant to the speech against tolerance";
I wouldn't like to move to other more closed mediums.
This list has an important pedagogical role in OSM ecosystem.
All the best,

Hi all, your mailing list moderator here.
The annual OSMF f̶l̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶r̶ board election will start soon, should I
change anything about this mailing list, or keep it as is? I'm not 100%
sure what's possible, but some configuration changes might change the
"feel" of the list:
* Turn off archiving of this list, or only make it available to list
members.
* I think we can make all emails anonymous without a "from" field.
* Require all emails to be manually approved by list admins/mods before
being sent to the
* Something else I don't know about?
Some CoC's say "be civil/professional", this list's CoC doesn't. IMO
someone saying "f**k that" to a homophobia statement (etc.) hasn't done
anything wrong. But should that change for this period?
Thoughts? Or leave it as is.
Rory,
