Have you done the changes on the website/.htlib/settings.php file to point to the correct DB?
Have you installed php5-cli, php-pear and php5-pgsql using:

sudo apt-get install php5-cli php-pear php5-pgsql 

then do 

sudo pear install MDB2 mdb2#pgsql
