#4668: Cannot get valid polygon for California

Reporter: kobiave@… | Owner: geocoding@…
Type: defect | Status: closed
Priority: minor | Milestone:
Component: nominatim | Version:
Resolution: fixed | Keywords: search, polygon

Changes (by lonvia):
* status: new => closed
* resolution: => fixed
Comment:
Geometry output on the website has been fixed, you should see correct
multipolygons now in all views.
When asking for xml/json, the polygon option will still not return a
correct multipolygon. This won't fix for reason of backward compatibility.
Try one of the new polygon options instead: polygon_geojson, polygon_kml,
polygon_svg or polygon_text, which will return correct geometries, but be
aware that they are still experimental at the moment. That means that the
format might still change slightly.
