[Geocoding] OpenStreetMap + Python + VGI

Someone knows some good library/API, tutorial, documentation, etc. in
Python to work with VGI (volunteered geographic information) or
OpenStreetMap?
I am starting a project of VGI, using Python with OpenStreetMap.
And I am beginner with OSM and VGI, because of that I am asking about.
