Hi,
I also recently imported Europe using flatnode.
I installed it virtually on an ESXi (vmware) with 3CPU’s (of 4 available) at 3.6GHz, 30GB RAM with a SSD Samsung 850PRO on a Ubuntu 16.04.2LTS.
This took almost 4 days to completely import Europe. (But my rate/second at rank 26 was higher)
I see you are at rank 26 and still a (long) way to go… Rank 30 will also take a long time!
Be patient.
And yes, speed will increase as soon as the import is done. (+cache…)
After the import I changed from 3 to 2 processors and from 30 to 16GB RAM.
Now a reverse geocoding is less than 1 sec.
Oh yes, after the import I cleaned out the database/flatfile because I won’t update the data for the next year. (setup.php –drop)
That way I only use about 160GB for Europe.
