Google Summer of Code

Google Summer of Code

Hello Org Admins!

Google uses Payoneer to pay Google Summer of Code Contributors and
Organizations. Payoneer is a fast and convenient way to receive payments
globally.

One person from your org is responsible for completing the payment
request form
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ULXgx1J2lbmvxhoI3nPoGcUC7go5aOYBboZzK2qobNc/edit?resourcekey=0-FarUhwoSU0gfb2YRTqbcVw>
even if your org will be declining the stipends. This email is only
being sent to your 2023 Org Admins, if you have a treasurer or someone
else responsible for finances for your org please forward this important
information.

Included in your payment is:

  * $500 per GSoC contributor for your organization called the ‘org
stipend’. This is sent to the org in the form of _one_ payment after
all projects have concluded, and if the org wishes to disburse the
funds to their mentors they are welcome to do that on their own.
  * Also included in your payment is a $1200 travel stipend for 1
delegate to attend the 2023 GSoC Mentor Summit. _If no delegate from
your org attends the 2023 GSoC Mentor Summit, $0 travel stipend will
    be issued. _
  * There is also a possible additional $600 if your org is granted an
additional delegate slot for a 2nd person to attend the 2023 GSoC
Mentor Summit. More details on this later this summer.

We kindly ask that you review and act on the following information:

 1. Whether you have an existing Payoneer account or need to register,
*please carefully review the details* in the Payment Instructions
    for GSoC orgs page

    - for your org by *May 11th *_. This provides us the information we
need to process your payments through Payoneer. If your org does not
already have a Payoneer account associated with GSoC DO NOT create a
new one, we will send you a special link on May 15th that you must
use to create your new Payoneer account.
