[Gsoc-orga] Regarding contributing to application

Dear Aniket
While I don't believe we would rule out creating a new openstreetmap
based map/service as part of GSOC from scratch, typically these are
conceived as separate projects and then get support later on when they
have proven themselves. With other words supporting this through GSOC
would require you to convince us that this is a long term viable project
that at least you are willing to support over a longer period of time
and would have substantial benefits for OpenStreetMap as a whole.
But besides that, integrating weather data in to a project would require
an open source of such data, what are your thoughts on that? How would
source it and integrate it in to your project?
Kind regards
Simon
