Dear Martin Raifer,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is [Your Name], and I am excited
to submit a project proposal for the iD editor as part of the Google Summer
of Code program.

Project Title: "iD Quest" - Adding Gamification Elements to the iD Editor
Project Description:
The goal of this project is to create a gamified experience within the iD
editor to encourage user engagement and contribution. The idea is to design
and implement a system that rewards users for their mapping contributions,
provides challenges and quests, and fosters a sense of community.

Key Features:
1. Point System: Implement a point system that rewards users for their
contributions, such as mapping a certain number of buildings or roads.
2. Challenges and Quests: Design and implement a system that provides users
with challenges and quests, such as mapping a specific area or completing a
certain task.
3. Leaderboards: Create leaderboards that display top contributors,
providing a sense of competition and encouraging users to contribute more.
4. Badges and Achievements: Implement a system that awards users with
badges and achievements for their contributions, providing a sense of
accomplishment and pride.

Technical Details:
The project will be implemented using JavaScript, D3, and OSM mapping
technologies. I will work closely with you to ensure that the
implementation aligns with the iD editor's goals and requirements.

Timeline:
The project will be completed within the 350-hour timeframe. I have broken
down the project into smaller tasks and created a rough timeline:

- Week 1-2: Research and planning
- Week 3-6: Implementation of point system, challenges, and quests
- Week 7-10: Implementation of leaderboards, badges, and achievements
- Week 11-12: Testing and debugging

Why I'm the Best Fit:
I have experience with JavaScript, D3, and OSM mapping technologies, and I
am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the iD editor. I am
confident that my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for this
project.

Thank you for considering my proposal. I look forward to discussing this
project further and answering any questions you may have.

Best regards,

Sri Varshini
