[OHM] Fwd: Thanks for attending the NYPL/OHM Birds of a Feather session at SOTMUS15

I'm really pleased at the various responses on twitter regarding OHM at
sotm-us. Note also what Christian Rogel wrote on talk-fr last week as well:
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-fr/2015-June/076789.html.

As I was staying near the town of Carhaix-Plouguer whose name may have
origins relating to its function as a cross-roads in Roman times, I have
added the network of Roman Roads in Brittany to OHM (a local bridge, known
as the Pont Romain had a useful information board with a map of the roman
road network for the region, which I used as a basis). I am now trying to
add a few more major roman roads in France ideally so as to connect up with
what already exists on OHM along the Rhine Valley. As I have stated before
the aim is to try some routing ideas with this data. There is no need for
the roads to be entered precisely accurately at this stage (I forget that
iterative refinement of data should be a guiding principle with OHM just as
much as with OSM), so it would be nice to capture the main roads described
in the Antoinine Itineraries.

One thing I have noticed: it would be really nice to have a turbo front-end
on the OHM Overpass instance. I dont know how much work is involved, and I
would probably want the ability to query dates as dates in overpass first.

Cheers,

Jerry
