Yeah, it does seem that way! :) And now there's an 'official' Slack 
team, maybe OHM can have a channel in it? http://awesomestreetmap.slack.com

Or what about a openhistoricalmap category in the new Wikimedia 
installation of Discourse? https://discourse.wmflabs.org/ Given that 
there's a largish intersection of contributors on OHM and Wikimedia 
(especially with the Wikimedia Mapwarper having a built-in OHM editor), 
it seems like it'd be a reasonable community fit.
