[OHM] Thesis about Open Historical Map

Volkan,
Good to hear from you. The data from is available as a dump or minute updates at [1].
The separation between geometry & feature which your data project takes on and is to my mind a core component of GeoSparql is key to good historical mapping. However, OHM is still wedded to the increasingly messy OSM software ecosystem which was designed without that separation.
I've been tinkering with sparkfly to output a linked open data version of OHM, however the software suffers from poor maintenance and requires yet another java virtual engine to be running. I have an idea of hacking together a translation layer off of the tiling database to output proper geosparql triples along with OWL-TIME [2] compliant instances, but it's a long term project.
