Hi all -
Quick meeting today:
Attendees: Seth Fitzsimmons, Gregor Allensworth, Jim McAndrew, Sanjay
Bhangar, me
*Dev - *still working on integration of the vector tiles prototype with the
web site & having some issues related to Mapbox GL versioning, filters, and
layer switching. Hope to have these issues resolved this week, as Jim
McAndrew will have time to dig into these issues & Gregor is on standby to
assist.
*Map data & time tagging - *many areas in OHM lack proper date tagging,
which can give a time slider that depends on those tags issues. Missing tag
highlighting and how to handle those will be an issue for after delivery of
the initial timeline. Heads up on this, as it may/will impact anyone who
has map data in OHM.
*Wiki* - I've made an initial brush over the openstreetmap OHM wiki
<http://ba-kground.com/seattle-1890-structures-post-great-fire/>, mainly
updating reference links, etc. I'll try to do a more thorough update this
week and send out a link for review / further suggestions.
*How to* - no new progress on the how-to, but will continue with the Krakow
use case example.
*Site Ops* - Rob is updating the site to SSL and will be reviewing the site
code on the vector tile branch (just the site, not the additional vector
tiles / timeslider stuff) for deployment.
*User interest* - have had some discussions with some mappers doing very
cool stuff in Seattle here
<https://capitolhillpast.maps.arcgis.com/apps/FilterGallery/index.html?appid=b2f4816d464a44c2bb471ba71d4ae6bf>
and here <http://ba-kground.com/seattle-1890-structures-post-great-fire/>
about how OHM might help them.
*Next meeting* - 10 July, 10am PT, meet.google.com/bbn-yhvo-cps
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jeff
