Hello again -

I'm finally semi-keyboard capable after a few weeks' recovery from slashing
a couple of digits, apologies for the delays.

One question: do the readers of this list care about dev updates or should
we move them to a separate list / mailer / notification system & leave this
list for content-related updates and questions? My intent is to also have
an informational blog with related updates posted there.

That question asked ; ), here are some dev-related notes.

*Quick dev update:*
- Updated OSM stack + vector tiles demo:
http://openhistoricalmap-1936150974.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com/#map=7/45.974/-68.192&layers=O
-- Progress here: moved our vector tile demo out of stand-alone mode and
into the OSM controls environment
-- The vector tiles are currently updated from the live OHM site, so if
you make edits on OHM, they should show up in this demo as vector tiles
-- Any edits made in the demo environment will be LOST... please don't do
that yet, unless you want to see...
-- ID with enhanced date-entry fields (still working on the date
format...)

- Next steps:
-- Move the source data from OHM live site to a sandbox that includes an
OHM snapshot (tbd, but soon)
-- This will enable the demo of actual editing of date-specific
historical info using ID
-- Adding the time slider to this environment (currently estimating eta)

- Farther out:
 -- Map styling
-- Looking at low-zoom level border time transitions

*OHM dev meeting:*
I'd love to get together with anyone who's interested to talk about this
stuff, and propose April 10th for a meeting.

*Feedback:*
Please post any desired new features or improvements or just general
feedback here: https://github.com/OpenHistoricalMap/ohm-website/issues.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,
Jeff
